THE PHOENIX GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (27 Holes, Par 108) Designed by Dennis Griffiths in a beautifully landscaped with eucalypts, bamboo and bushes, the Phoenix Golf & Country Club utilizes wooded, rolling terrain on its three nines – Ocean, Lake and Mountain. Although fairways are narrow, the greens are most spacious and the middle nine is one of the most playable in the kingdom due to its large amount of water hazards. Hole 17 – very tough par – four – dog-legs around the lake and has left some of Asia’s most experienced golfers in serious trouble. Excellent clubhouse utilizes and a sports complex makes this one of the best courses on the Eastern Seaboard.
LAEM CHABANG INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY CLUB (27 Holes 3,446/3,419/3,619 Yards, Par 36x3) this picturesque Jack Nicklaus designed championship course is truly one of the jewels in Pattaya’s Golf Crown. The course itself consists with 27 holes – Mountain, Lake and Creek nines. The rolling hills of the surrounding countryside have been used to great effect and hazards to stop you reaching the large elevated greens are in abundance. Not only does the course have a lot of bunkers, sand traps and water hazards, there are also a lot of natural hazards in the shape of exposed rock formations, lakes, ponds and creek. However, excellent club house facilities are superbly to be complimenting all of this.
